This Editorial Policy explains how Listing Sports plans, reviews, publishes, updates and corrects articles and editorial material. Our aim is to provide useful sports information while distinguishing editorial judgement from business-supplied claims and commercial relationships.
Editorial Principles
We prioritise accuracy, usefulness, clarity, independence, transparent sourcing and fair correction. We do not promise that every article will be error-free, but we expect authors and editors to check material carefully and respond responsibly when a supported correction is raised.
Sources and Verification
Writers should prefer primary, official or otherwise credible sources for factual claims. Statistics, rules, eligibility criteria, health or safety claims and statements about organisations should be attributed where appropriate. Personal experience must be presented as experience rather than universal fact.
Authors and Contributors
Published articles should identify the responsible author or editorial team. Contributors must provide accurate biographical and conflict-of-interest information. Guest submissions must be original, useful to readers and not already published elsewhere unless the editorial team agrees otherwise in writing.
AI-Assisted Work
Automated tools may assist with research organisation, transcription, language or drafting, but they may not replace human accountability. A responsible editor or author must review factual claims, sources, originality, tone, safety and rights before publication. Fabricated citations, mass-generated low-value content and undisclosed manipulation are not acceptable.
Independence and Commercial Disclosure
Advertising, sponsorship, partnership, affiliate relationships, complimentary access or other material interests must be disclosed when relevant. Commercial support does not guarantee favourable coverage or control of independent editorial conclusions. Sponsored material will be labelled where applicable.
Health, Training and Safety Information
Sports training, nutrition, recovery and health content is general information, not personalised medical or professional advice. Authors must avoid unsupported guarantees and should encourage readers to consult appropriately qualified professionals when individual health, injury, safeguarding or high-risk decisions are involved.
Corrections and Updates
We may correct factual, typographical, attribution or clarity errors; update outdated information; add a correction note; change an article’s status; or remove material where continued publication would be misleading, unsafe, unlawful or rights-infringing. Substantive updates should be reflected through the article’s updated date where the CMS supports it.
A correction request should identify the page, disputed statement, explanation and supporting evidence. Good-faith criticism or a request for favourable coverage does not by itself require removal.
Copyright and External Material
Contributors must submit only material they created or are authorised to license. Quotations, images and third-party materials must be used lawfully and attributed where required. Listing Sports may reject or remove content that creates a credible copyright or other rights concern.
Guest Contributions
The Write for Us form requires contributors to confirm originality, accuracy, rights and relevant commercial disclosure. Submission does not guarantee publication. We may edit accepted work for accuracy, structure, accessibility, house style and reader usefulness while preserving its intended meaning.
